Benchmarks
San Luis Obispo County groups job classifications together in what is known as "benchmarks." The benchmark groupings are designed to reduce compaction between certain classifications. Typically, all classifications within a benchmark are negotiated for as if they were one classification. So, the disparity of the benchmark classification affects all of the classifications within the benchmark. To find out the classifications within your benchmark and to learn more about benchmark groupings, call SLOCEA at 543-2021 or email at info@slocea.org.
