Some of you may remember me from my days as a County employee and a member of SLOCEA’s Board of Directors. I was a member of SLOCEA for over fourteen years, participated on many committees, and served as vice president and president. I left County employment in November of 1999 to begin my career as an attorney. I was the Interim General Manager of SLOCEA between Paul Roller’s departure and the arrival of Dean Rollins. I closed my private law practice and left the practice of law when I became the general manager of SLOCEA. Over the past six years, I have remained aware of and concerned with issues that affect public employees, especially SLO County employees.

I have had the opportunity to interact with and observe a number of other labor organizations, and can say without hesitation, SLOCEA is the best! The dedication, creativity, and insight of the SLOCEA staff, coupled with the commitment and efforts of the Board of Directors, has produced an organization that is committed to providing efficient, effective and exemplary member service.
