COVID-19 Member Update: 3-18-2020
SLOCEA MEMBER UPDATE

Dear SLOCEA Members,
As you likely know by now, to slow the spread of COVID-19, this afternoon SLO County issued an Executive Order to Shelter at Home that begins tomorrow at 5:00 p.m.
Additionally, effective tomorrow at 5:01 p.m., the County is going to a Disaster Service Worker model for community response. The County assured SLOCEA that they will be putting out comprehensive information tomorrow which explains the impact of the Disaster Service Worker model on SLOCEA members that work for the County.
As soon as we receive the update, we will communicate that information to you via email, the Members Portal, SLOCEA’s website, Facebook and Twitter.
SLOCEA staff continues to respond to a flood of emails and phone calls from members seeking answers, and requesting assistance with issues such as increased protective measures at their work site.
Again, we are staying in frequent contact with the County’s COVID-19 Response Team and will pass on any new information as it becomes available. SLOCEA will continue to monitor the situation closely, while advocating vigorously on behalf of our members.
