BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEET, HONOR NANCY BISHOP
SLOCEA’s Board of Directors met “in-person” for the first time since the COVID 19 disaster declaration was announced in March 2020. The meeting took place on June 17, 2020, at the conference room of the Quality Suites in San Luis Obispo, CA
During the meeting, the Directors honored SLOCEA Office Administrator, Nancy Bishop, upon her retired after seventeen years of service to SLOCEA and its members. Ms. Bishop’s retirement was effective June 1, 2020.
In recognition of Ms. Bishop’s many years of dedicated service, the Board of Directors paid tribute with the adoption of the below Resolution:

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY EMPLOYEES’ ASSOCIATION
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Commending Nancy A. Bishop
WHEREAS, Nancy A. Bishop has served the San Luis Obispo County Employees’ Association for more than seventeen years and has honorably retired effective June 1, 2020; and
WHEREAS, Nancy served the Association with distinction as Administrative Assistant from February 10, 2003 to January 17, 2008; and
WHEREAS, In recognition of her increasingly complex duties and responsibilities, Nancy was promoted to Office Administrator on January 17, 2008; and
WHEREAS, Nancy’s contributions to the stable operations of the Association has benefited the Association greatly throughout her many years of service; and
WHEREAS, Nancy’s many accomplishments have included the implementation and management of financial policies and procedures that resulted in nearly two decades of positive independent auditor reports for the Association; and
WHEREAS, Nancy’s skills, professionalism and exceptional work ethic has consistently yielded exemplary financial and administrative operations within the Association; and
WHEREAS, Nancy’s outstanding support of the Association’s various committees, including: Finance Committee, Member Benefit Fund Committee, Summer Childcare Committee, Academic Scholarship Committee, and Bylaws Committee, consistently resulted in organized, productive, and effective meetings; and
WHEREAS, Nancy is genuinely respected, admired, and appreciated by all who have had the opportunity to know and work with her throughout her many years of service to the Association and its membership; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Board of Directors of the San Luis Obispo County Employees’ Association, that Nancy A. Bishop is hereby commended on her record of exemplary service to the Association and its members; and, we extend our sincere best wishes on the occasion of her well-earned retirement.
