2021 Summer Childcare Reimbursement

SLOCEA is now accepting 2021 applications for Summer Childcare Reimbursement!

The summer months can present real childcare challenges for working parents. SLOCEA is delighted to participate in the County’s Summer Childcare Reimbursement Program that is designed to ease the burden of childcare expenses during this time.

The Summer Childcare Reimbursement Program is available to all permanent County employees in the Public Services, Clerical, Supervisory, Trades, Crafts, and Services, and Confidential bargaining units.

Under this reimbursement program, you pick the summer childcare or qualified tutoring arrangement, enroll your child in the program, and pay for the cost. You then submit an original receipt to SLOCEA for your predetermined reimbursement. The reimbursement amounts will vary depending on family needs and available reimbursement funds. The program will not reimburse childcare or tutoring expenses provided by family members.

Completed applications can be submitted to SLOCEA from March 15th to June 30th, 2021. Incomplete applications or applications without the required federal tax form attached will be returned and NOT processed. Reimbursement awards will be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
