NOMINATION RESULTS FOR TRADES UNIT NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE
The nomination period for the Trades Unit Negotiating Committee closed at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019. We received less than the required number (9) of nominations for the Committee seats. Since all Committee seats are unchallenged, there will be no election and we will move right to a meeting of the Negotiating Committee next week.
The primary purpose of the Negotiating Committee is to elect the Negotiating TEAM. Members of the TEAM are the bargaining unit representatives that will go to the negotiating table during the bargaining cycle, and remain on the TEAM until the expiration of a negotiated contract.
As per SLOCEA Bylaws, the SLOCEA President, Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer or their appointee(s), will serve on the TEAMS for the Big Unit and Trades Unit. PLEASE NOTE: President Dave Loden is in the Trades bargaining unit.
Below are the members of the Trades Negotiating Committee:
Trades Unit 02: (5 out of 9 seats filled)
The Committee will elect 4 TEAM representatives from the members below:
1. Jeromy Caldera (Public Works)
2. Tim Faes (Parks)
3. Dan Linhares (Public Works)
4. Kevin Sulitz (Parks)
5. Leann Siebert (Public Works)
ONCE THE NEGOTIATING TEAM IS APPOINTED, SLOCEA WILL BEGIN THE PROCESS OF SETTING UP NEGOTIATION SESSIONS WITH THE COUNTY.
