ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR SLOCEA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The SLOCEA Nominating Committee is now accepting nominations for election to the SLOCEA Board of Directors.

This presents an excellent opportunity for any qualified and willing member to take a more active role in their Association and help guide SLOCEA, adding their input to policy decisions.

The Board of Directors meets the third Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. to discuss current issues affecting public employees and to set policy for SLOCEA. Officers and Directors of the Board are elected for two-year terms.

Eligibility requirements to serve as a Board Director:

  • Must be in a SLOCEA represented bargaining unit.
  • Must be a SLOCEA member for 12 consecutive months prior to becoming a candidate for election.


Eligibility requirements to hold an Officer's seat on the Board:

  • Must have served as a Board Director for at least two years.
  • Must be in a SLOCEA represented bargaining unit.
  • Must be a SLOCEA member for 12 consecutive months prior to becoming a candidate for election.

Incumbents desiring to seek re-election to their current seats and new prospective candidates may self-nominate or nominate another SLOCEA member in good standing by submitting a written nomination to SLOCEA’s Nomination Committe at info@slocea.org or by fax to 805-543-4039.

Nomination requests must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2021. The written nomination must specify the seat to which they are seeking election. Candidates may optionally include a brief biography and candidate statement about their qualifications and goals if elected. For more information please call 805-543-2021.
