Appointment of New Executive Director
The SLOCEA Board of Directors is thrilled to announce that, after an extensive search process, we have appointed a new Executive Director. Please join us in welcoming Emily Landis.
Emily is a SLO County local, and has served on the Board of SLOCEA for seven years, as a Director and also as an Executive Officer, as well as on the 2022 Negotiating Team. She comes highly recommended by former Executive Director Pat McNamara, General Counsel Dennis Hayes and the SLOCEA staff team. As the current Board President and fellow County employee, she brings a unique and informed perspective to the SLOCEA staff team. While we are sad to lose her on the Board, we believe her leadership in this role will bring a fresh perspective and contribute to the continued success of our association. With her transition to the role of Executive Director, Vice President Nate Larsen will assume the seat of President for the remainder of the term.
In the coming weeks, Emily will be working closely with the Board and staff to ensure a smooth transition. We are confident that she will guide SLOCEA with dedication, integrity, and a commitment to advocacy for our members.
